At the Wheaton Municipal Band kids' concert, Chloë shows her enthusiasm for the World Cup by playing this unusual Swiss vuvuzela.

This year's theme was a sock hop, which had to be explained to me. I then had to go and buy jeans for the first time in 25 years, but I still didn't quite manage the "Fonz" look.

After a long and difficult gestation, and much wiggling by finger and tongue, Chloë finally delivered her first baby tooth a few days ago. Metamorphosis into legal tender took place shortly afterwards, by means shrouded in mystery.

Last night was the Girl Scouts daddy/daughter dance. Chloe was thrilled to attend. The theme was "black and white", one of the few themes that I can make a reasonable attempt at. A photographer was on hand to record the happy couple.
