Dog and child

So much for "about once a week". It's been 2 1/2 weeks since the last update. Thanks for being patient.

We had a comment (please keep them coming!) asking for a picture of Chloë with Gomer, so here are two. As you can see, they are now getting on very well together. Chloë is no longer scared of Gomer, and has even petted him a couple of times (swiftly followed by squeals of delight at how brave she's being). Gomer seems to recognise that she needs to be treated more gently than the full-size adults in the house, and only knocks her off her feet once or twice a day, which she tolerates quite well.

Last weekend we went to Ohio for Easter with Stacy's family who got their first look at Chloë. I'll post some family pictures next. This weekend we are preparing the house for the arrival on Friday of my parents for 9 days of intensive grandchild-adoration. I'd better stop now and get on with clearing the junk out of the guest bedroom. Here are the two junior members of the household enjoying a quiet moment. Posted by Hello

Gomer soon gets bored with quiet moments, and reverts to his favorite activity of licking himself. Consider yourselves fortunate that it's just his leg this time. Posted by Hello

Hi John,

Your email to me was set up as 'no reply' so this is the only way I could respond :)

Actually, you notice in the top right corner of most blogspot blogs there is a button for "next blog" - which takes you through any published blogs that aren't set up to be non-public. So, at any point in clicking through "next blog" one can come across quite a variety of blogs which in moments of boredom I tend to do. I tell my friends it's kind of like walking down the street in the evening and having people open their curtains for you to peek in - some houses are really dull or too weird for you, others are fascinating and interesting. Yours fell into the latter category for me :) You're a very colorful writer.

If you'd like to change your set-up so that those outside your circle won't stumble upon it, go to the 'settings' tab in your blog and the third option for "Add your blog to our listings?" - there you can select "no" and it won't show up for anyone who doesn't have your direct URL.

Glad you're enjoying my photos - I've been in a bit of a slump here and there lately but consistency (i.e., practice) is the key to developing any skill I suppose!

Take care, and congrats again on your beautiful daughter! She looks as if she has a strong will and will grow into an amazing woman.
Best,
~Jenn
